Community Heritage Management

We play a key role in the heritage ecosystem, one that is increasing year on year as Local Authority and Church-owned heritage assets become non-viable financially to maintain, and are asset transferred to social enterprises and charities to manage. We bring the business and heritage skills to the not-for-profit sector to enable them to take over the management of heritage assets, protect and capitalise upon those heritage assets for the benefit of the wider community.

Examples of our support include:

Blackburne House - a Grade II listed educational centre delivering a range of training programmes and support for vulnerable women and BAME groups. We supported the organisation to secure £2.5m to develop digital training facilities and retrofit energy efficieny measures to 'future proof' it for years to come.

Home Farm at Croxteth Park - a Grade II* listed Victorian farm in the heart of acutely disadvantaged communities. We supported Neighbourhood Services Company to secure funding and invest in the preservation of the heritage assets and improve visitor attraction facilities. We are currently working with NSC to develop an Environmental Education Centre at the site.

Granby Four Streets 'Winter Garden' - we delivered a programme of board development support to build resilience and ensure that access to the 2015 Turner Prize winning Winter Garden is maximised for the local community and visitors from further afield.
